If Super Nanny can do it, you can too (its not what you think...)!

Since today is a holiday and I didn't have to go in to the office, I spent a little time watching television this morning, while washing and folding clothes.  As I was flipping through the channels, I landed on a show called "Super Nanny."  If you have never seen it, this show chronicles the stories of the families that Super Nanny has assisted with overcoming their children's behavioral issues.

People call Super Nanny when they can't handle their children's behavior, and they can't figure out a way to create the improvement they desire to see on their own.  Each show starts with a video clip that shows some of the issues the family is dealing with.  The clip ends with the family declaring, "Super Nanny, we need your help."  Super Nanny retorts to the viewing audience, "I'm on my way."

To make a long story short, she observes the behavior of the children (and parents), and sits down with the parents to let them know what they need to do in order to address the issues.  During these conversations, as well as during the interventions she implements, it is clear that Super Nanny is in charge.  Imagine that!  The nanny has flipped the script!  She is calling the shots, and THE FAMILIES ARE PAYING HER TO TELL THEM WHAT TO DO.  Amazing!!!

Each time I watch Super Nanny, I think about the many women who say, "I can't make a living doing what I love to do.  There isn't enough money in that."  Since when is there power, prestige and an expense account associated with being a nanny?  But she has done it! The truth is, if you do what you really love to do, you will do it well, and people will sit up and take notice.

Take a risk!  Go after what you really want, and you will be surprised what you are able to do.  Do what you love and the money will come!
